A lot of people don't realize that the classic Ford Town and Country radio in the Thunderbird was equipped with a speed-dependent volume so that as the vehicle speed increased, the volume of the radio also increased. This is called a pulse rectifier and 1957 was the only year this feature was available in the Ford Thunderbird .
