A BIT OF HISTORY

During the early 1960's, British cars such as the Jaguar, MG, etc. were 12-Volt, positive ground and had Vauxhall radios. The vehicles that were sold in the US and not brought from the UK had either a Bendix or Blaupunkt radio.

Voltswagon's had a 6-Volt negative ground until 1966, then they switched to 12-Volt. Their factory radio was a Bendix.
